A warm welcome to Ara Yoga. I am excited to have you here, ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, balance and well-being. Whether you are an experienced yogi or a beginner, this space is for you to connect with your body and mind. As you come to the mats, I encourage you to let go of expectations and judgement. Embrace the uniqueness of your practice, honouring the wisdom of your body with a sense of curiosity.

Useful and practical tips for your visit

Remember

Don’t forget to refrain from eating heavy meals at least 2 hours before yoga class. A light stomach allows for better mental focus and concentration during a yoga session, and helps prevent digestive issues and promotes a smoother practice experience.

In each class

In each class, I offer variations and modifications so that you can practice at your own pace and comfort level. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you will always find a welcoming space in my studio. Remember, there are no expectations or comparisons here; just bring your willingness to learn and enjoy the present moment.

Each class

Each class has a specific duration so that you can make the most of your practice. I encourage you to stay until the end, as the final relaxation (Savasana) is very important.

Studio

The door of the studio opens 15 minutes before the class so that you have enough time to settle in and prepare yourself mentally. I recommend you arrive at least 10 minutes early to secure your place and start the class in a relaxed manner.

Bring

Only bring yourself, your mat, a blanket, water bottle and an open mind. If it’s your first time, don’t worry about the mat; we can provide you with one.

Use

Remember to use clothing that allows you to move freely and comfortably. Stretchy, breathable fabrics such as cotton or moisture-wicking materials are excellent choices. In most cases, yoga is practised barefoot.

Tell me about any concerns or injuries you have, before or after class. I am here to help and support you on your yoga journey.

Parking

We have space available on site and on the street with plenty of space. When arriving for early morning classes, please be considerate of neighbourhood residents.
